Where we start
From the moment we enter this world we form ideas about ourselves, others, and our surroundings. Oftentimes we interrupt our natural state of Being by developing unique ways of behaving that are based on these acquired ideas and beliefs. We continually adapt and protect ourselves from life’s situations.
As life becomes increasingly complex these beliefs and adaptations become the blocks to our authentic expression and inherent freedom. We experience these blocks through a myriad of displaced emotions such as fear, stress, worry, anxiety, depression, anger, hopelessness and loneliness, to name a few.
If we allow ourselves a moment to pause and reflect, and are truly honest with ourselves, we find that at times there is a low level hum of discomfort in the background - regret for what was, fear of what’s to come, or dissatisfaction with the current circumstances.
Eventually we realize that the way we have been living is no longer working for us, and we know, deep inside there must be a better way. Here is where we have the freedom to choose a different path.
How we work
In our work together we will explore, question, and slowly dismantle the blocks to your Authenticity. We will consider the thoughts and beliefs you hold, and the behaviors that are no longer serving you.
I will guide you in becoming more aware of the movements of your mind as well as the feelings in your present moment experience. You will come to realize that by taking responsibility for what you think, believe, and do, you have a choice.
Through this process you can awaken to Life and experience a greater sense of ease, freedom, vibrancy, authenticity, and Love.
How we heal
It is in our relationships to one another that the thoughts we hold in our mind are experienced and revealed to us. Our relationships become the outside picture of an inward condition. The way we feel in relationship will indicate if we are in the presence of Love and acceptance, or separation and judgment.
In light of this, relationships can be repurposed as a pathway to healing if both involved have a similar goal. I believe that the therapeutic relationship in and of itself is sacred, because there is the shared goal of healing each and every time we show up for one another.
